AzurePredict Error

Apr 17, 2015 at 9:40 PM
Whenever I try to run AzurePredict or AzureFastPredict I get the following error. I believe I have the latest Excel Add-In installed but am somewhat skeptical and maybe the Excel Add-In did not get overwritten with the latest code.

The getJson function is returning the schema correctly.

Failed to connect to prediction REST API endpoint: The remote server returned an error: (400) Bad Request.. Please check the URL.

Any thoughts.

I can send you my url and api key if that would help.

Thanks, Franz

There are 4 parameters passed to the web service. Typically I put the following 4 values in the cells 1, 10, 50, 100. It returns 8 columns in Azure ML. I attached an excel spreadsheet showing my attempt to call the web service. Hopefully, I am just making a simple mistake. It was working for me before the latest version of the plug-in. The web service tests fine from within Azure ML. Thanks for your time. Franz

Also, please send link to the API help page as well

You have spaces in your column names in schema here - https://studio.azureml.net/apihelp/workspaces/597a7009044d46b98b3eddfcb5f4e10b/webservices/1c725b339d3449f190ee90e47bdb7cbd/endpoints/e9aacef64dec40a398b7b83adae39fb5/score?version=1.0

Can you please republish your web service with no space or any special characters in column name?

Previous release use to scrap API help while this version retrieves schema from OData endpoint which removes any special characters or spaces in column names

Another alternative to quickly validate this will work is to copy Json schema from the getJson, add the spaces manually in the schema and use the updated schema in azureFastPredict - you can view this solution in the spreadsheet here

Thanks, I am getting it to work now. I renamed my columns without the spaces and special characters. I really appreciated your time. Doing a presentation later this afternoon around Azure ML and really like this Excel Add-In. Thanks again, Franz
